Korean Kitchen: Authentic Korean Cuisine in Wake Forest, NC

Good food and service. The location is out in Wake Forest, which can be a long drive from the rest of the Triangle. A bit far from the other Korean restaurants in Cary.

Back again! I just love this place! I got the short ribs and mu wife got the Bulgogi box. Love all the little sides everything perfect!!!

I know nothing about Korean food. Seriously. I like kimchi. I like bibimbap. I've had bibimbap at a couple of places, and I've never had a bad bowl of bibimbap. I liked this place. You get very large portions, dope pickled sides, and soup for a very reasonable price. I'm not sure why the place isn't busier when I have gone, but I found the food to be totally satisfying, the sake specials are very reasonable, the service is adequate, and overall, I enjoyed the experience. If you live in the Wake Forest area, and you like Korean food, or would like to try Korean food, I would recommend this place. Feel free to get nuts and try new stuff.

Amazing Korean Food! Family owned. We had an amazing lunch today. Weekends are for Bento Boxes I had the chicken, it comes with salad with this amazing orange dressing, rice, tempura veggies, spring rolls, miso soup, and then 5 mini plates with kimchi, and other goodies. (See photo). Hubby got beef bulgolgi Bento Box and it was the best I have EVER had, so render and flavorful. We got beef short ribs to go for dinner, hubby already pronounced them delicious. Do not sleep on this amazing restaurant! Worth every star

Fantastic! The hot stone bibimbop and yaki udon were delicious. The beef bugogi box was delicious and portions were so big we took home leftovers of everything but the dumplings! Bonus was having 3 Korean families come in as I feel like that really says something about the authenticity.

Quick and fast service. It's pretty big inside. Food was good for local can't complain. They had beer and soju which is a plus

As a Korean growing up in DC with authentic Korean food, I was hesitant if I would find a similar place in Wake Forest..... this place was awesome! I ordered takeout and was some of if not the best food I've had in the area. Kimchi pancake was one of the best I've had and the spicy pork bulgolgi was perfect spice level, tender, juicy and full of flavor. If you're looking for authentic Korean food in not just Wake Forest but the Raleigh area, this spot and Soo cafe are the top 2 and the rest aren't even in the same hemisphere.

The food was amazing! Seemed high priced but for the amount of food you get it's worth it. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. Didn't spend much time inside but the place looked pretty clean

Korean Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants in Wake Forest. The food is so fresh that you can taste every vegetable and seasoning and the meals are always high quality. In my opinion nothing is better than the Kimchi Haemul Pajeon (seafood/kimchi pancake). We get it every time and it's always amazing. Everyone who works there take pride in making sure you enjoy your meal, especially the owner. One of the best kept secrets in Wake Forest but not for long.

My first time at Korean Kitchen so I can't compare it to what it may have been in the past. There were 6 of us at the table so we ordered a bit heavily. The six different banchan had different flavors and textures, something that should be expected but isn't always delivered. The dishes were refilled regularly. In addition to the food in the photos we also ordered both the kimchi pancake and the seafood pancake and a brisket dish. Both pancakes were good but the kimchi pancake was a standout. The brisket was the only dish I felt to be subpar. It just wasn't much of anything at all. Everything else was rather good. I believe that we got a little bit of the "white boy" treatment even though one of our party was Asian. The spice level in a few of the dishes was turned down a few notches although they were still tasty and the server tried very hard to steer us towards fruit-flavored soju rather than the original. Even though many of the other customers were Asian the menu appears to cater to an audience not familiar with Korean food. There are a good number of more familiar Japanese dishes and there's a tendency to use loose English approximations for the names of some dishes. That can make it a little challenging to find some dishes or just try to guess to what they're referring. Oh, and the parking really stinks. Whichever developer decided that putting 4 restaurants, who will all be doing the majority of their business in the exact same timeframe, on a small lot with not nearly enough parking spots should never be allowed near a building site again. The restaurant, though? It's good and worth a repeat visit.
